The first award is aimed at refreshing a NAPA sponsored website dedicated to supporting people interested in senior leadership positions at civilian agencies within the Federal Government.  The second award will see OPTiMO IT professionals assume a global IT role with NAPA.  OPTiMO will provide operations support and oversee most aspects of NAPA’s IT requirements including IT strategy development and network administration.

OPTiMO Information Technology Employees Donate To Local American Red Cross Disaster Relief Funds

Employees of Bloomsburg based OPTiMO Information Technology recently concluded an internal fundraising campaign, matched by corporate donations, that totaled $3,002.00 for American Red Cross Disaster Relief Funds in Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania, and Northern Virginia. In response to a series of storms and flooding that affected the company’s entire service region last fall, OPTiMO team members banded together in the face of the disaster, contributing their personal time, effort and money to help friends, family members and even co-workers who were in need of help due to the devastating weather events.

According to Mike Miguelez, OPTiMO’s President & CEO, “In response to the flooding, our employees wanted to take action and help people regroup in the communities in which we live and work.” In the hope of aiding in a speedy recovery for the regions affected, OPTiMO launched the fundraising campaign on behalf of the American Red Cross to provide disaster relief and recovery services to those families in need. Monetary contributions were collected at each OPTiMO office location in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC. “Employees had the option to designate which disaster relief fund they wanted to apply their donation to, such as the Bloomsburg, Wilkes-Barre or Northern Virginia floods, or the September flood in general,” added Mike.

The campaign collection included all employee donations, the corporate match and an initial corporate contribution made to the American Red Cross in immediate response to the September flooding. The contributions were presented to Rita Inklovich, Executive Director of the Bloomsburg Chapter of the American Red Cross, who ensured that donations designated to other chapters were applied in the respective regions.

“Especially for a company of our size, this is a tremendous show of community support on behalf of all employees. We appreciate everyone who contributed to the campaign for their participation and generosity,” said Mike.
